ชูแนวคิด “Infinite Possibilities” เปิดประตูสู่อนาคตการผลิตไร้ขีดจำกัด

ในวาระครบรอบ 40 ปี METALEX เปิดตัวโครงการ “Future Tech @ METALEX” เพื่อคัดเลือกเทคโนโลยีแห่งอนาคตที่นำไปใช้งานได้จริงในโรงงานอุตสาหกรรม โดยมีคณะกรรมการผู้เชี่ยวชาญร่วมพิจารณา นำโดย รศ.ดร.สันทัด ชูวงศ์อินทร์ จากสถาบันเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าคุณทหารลาดกระบัง และนายปรัชญา อินทรานุปกรณ์ ผู้อำนวยการสถาบันไทย-เยอรมัน มีนวัตกรรมผ่านการคัดเลือก 167 รายการ จาก 127 บริษัทผู้แสดงสินค้า แบ่งเป็น 8 กลุ่มเทคโนโลยีแห่งอนาคต ได้แก่

“METALEX 2026” Celebrates 40th Anniversary Under Theme “Infinite Possibilities,” Opening Door to Future of Manufacturing Without Limits
RX BITEC is preparing to stage “METALEX 2026,” ASEAN’s No. 1 Exhibition on Machine Tools and Metalworking Technologies, celebrating its 40th anniversary with intelligent machinery and technologies from more than 3,000 brands across 50 countries. The exhibition will feature 18 international pavilions representing eight countries and regions, covering more than 55,000 square metres. The event aims to support Thailand and ASEAN's manufacturing sectors in transition towards Advanced Manufacturing, targeting 10% visitor attendance increase.
Mrs. Varaporn Dhamcharee, Managing Director of RX BITEC (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said, “METALEX has reached its 40th year under the theme of ‘Infinite Possibilities,’ reflecting the transformation of Thailand and ASEAN's manufacturing focusing on cost and volume towards Advanced Manufacturing, which places greater emphasis on technology, precision, automation and intelligent systems. Machinery is no longer merely a tool for increasing production capacity; it has become a vital element in enhancing industrial competitiveness.”
This year's exhibition will occupy all exhibition halls at BITEC, Bangkok, showcasing machine tools, metrology instruments, tools and tooling, sheet metalworking technologies, cutting technologies for wire and tubes, robotics, factory automation systems, pumps and valves, as well as AI technologies that are transforming the mindset and production processes of modern factories.
The event will also feature machinery and technologies making their debut in Thailand, ASEAN, Asia and globally. Highlights include the FANUC ROBODRILL D54C, a drilling, milling and tapping machine making its Thailand debut; the ROEDERS RPT800DS, a high-speed milling technology making its Asian debut; a CNC sheet metal bending machine equipped with an Electro Hydraulic Servo system making its ASEAN debut; the new Unitree G1 humanoid robot making its Thailand debut; and the DSX2000 Digital Microscope, designed for material inspection and analysis, also making its Thailand debut.
To mark its 40th anniversary, METALEX is introducing “Future Tech @ METALEX,” an initiative designed to identify future technologies with practical applications in industrial factories.
The selection process involved a panel of experts led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Santhad Chuwongin of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang and Mr. Pratya Indranupakorn, Director of the Thai-German Institute.
A total of 167 innovations from 127 exhibiting companies were selected across eight future technology categories:
1. Smart, AI-Driven & Connected Manufacturing
An example is the 7-Axis Intelligent Robotic Welding Workstation from Takeco Engineering. This seven-axis robotic welding system uses a 3D model to calculate welding paths in real time, reducing programming preparation time from several hours to just minutes.
2. Automation, Robotics & Autonomous Operations
An example is the ESTUN Next-Generation Robotic Grinding System from Krasstec, which uses laser technology to detect surface conditions and automatically adjust pressure during grinding and polishing operations.
3. Advanced Machining & Precision Engineering
An example is the MULTUS U3000 from Okuma Techno, a five-axis multitasking CNC machine that integrates turning, milling, drilling, gear cutting, grinding and measurement functions into a single machine.
4. Intelligent Resource, Energy & Sustainability Management
An example is the GAS LEAK VIEWER MK-770A/MK-750STA from JFE Shoji Electronics, a portable device that uses ultrasonic technology to detect air and gas leaks while instantly calculating estimated annual financial losses.
5. Human-Machine Collaboration, Workforce & Skills Enablement
An example is the ZEISS ScanCobot from Factory Max, an automated 3D scanning system integrated with a collaborative robot arm for measuring complex components without the need for programming.
6. Safety, Reliability & Operational Resilience
An example is the FLIR A700 Thermal Smart Sensor from Lega Corporation, a thermal imaging sensor designed to monitor abnormalities and measure machinery temperatures in real time.
7. Productivity & Cost Optimization
An example is the THK Versatile Transport System (VTS) from THK, a high-speed linear motor transport system that reduces material handling time, increases flexibility and enables easier production line reconfiguration.
8. Future Materials & Tooling Innovation
An example is the PM51 HSS Band Saw Blades from Pacific Mercury, featuring powder metallurgy technology that improves resistance to chipping by 50% and extends service life by 15–25%.
METALEX 2026 will also feature dedicated exhibition zones and special activities, including:
JAMTAT Pavilion
Organised by the Japanese Machine Tools Association of Thailand (JAMTAT), the pavilion will showcase precision manufacturing technologies and leading innovations from Japan.
Sheet METALEX
A dedicated showcase of sheet metal fabrication technologies, ranging from laser cutting, waterjet cutting, bending and punching to machining equipment and tools from leading brands.
Koma Taisen Competition
A handmade spinning-top competition, with the winner earning the opportunity to attend the world competition in Japan.
METALEX 40th Anniversary Gala Dinner
A special gala dinner celebrating four decades of METALEX, providing an opportunity for executives and industry leaders to exchange perspectives on the future direction of the metalworking industry.
METALEX 2026 will further connect knowledge, professional networks and business opportunities through three major programmes designed to create an Intelligent Ecosystem.
METALEX TOMORROW
Organised in collaboration with 50 organisations, METALEX TOMORROW will present 80 seminar topics featuring more than 90 speakers.
Key sessions include the EV Tech Forum under the theme “Beyond EV: The Intelligent Mobility Revolution”; the 14th Metallurgy Forum on “AI & Automation for Productivity and Carbon Reduction in the Aluminum Industry”; and the METALEX AI Forum, which will explore the readiness of Thai factories through the Thailand i4.0 Index, along with humanoid robots and AI cybersecurity technologies.
